สถิติการสำรวจเด็กและเยาวชน

สำนักงานสถิติแห่งชาติได้ดำเนินการสำรวจเด็กและเยาวชน ครั้งแรกในปี 2517 ตามคำแนะนำและความร่วมมือขององค์การเงินสงเคราะห์เด็กแห่งสหประชาชาติ (UNICEF) และสำนักงานคณะกรรมการพัฒนาการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งชาติ

การสำรวจเด็กและเยาวชน พ.ศ. 2545 เป็นการสำรวจครั้งที่ 11 โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลทางด้านประชากร การศึกษาทั้งในระบบและนอกระบบโรงเรียน การทำงาน การใช้เวลาว่าง การมีทักษะและการมีส่วนร่วมในสังคมของเด็กและเยาวชน รวมทั้งข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับการเล่นและการดูกีฬาของประชากร
การสำรวจเด็กและเยาวชน พ.ศ. 2551 เป็นการสำรวจครั้งที่ 12 เป็นการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลที่มีความสอดคล้องกับโครงการสำรวจสถานการณ์เด็กในประเทศไทย พ.ศ. 2548-2549 (MICS: The Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey)
